I ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ a homemade vinaigrette dressing. My moms is the BEST!
This triple vinegar dressing is bursting with flavor – perfect for a kale salad because it can stand up to the “toughness” of those leaves and actually breaks them down a bit.
For this recipe I used the bottle the balsamic was in originally, I only had about 3 tablespoons left in there so I added 2 tablespoons of plum vinegar and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Then, 4 tablespoons avocado oil and 1 more of water. 1 tablespoon agave (more or less to taste), 1/2 tablespoon each of garlic and onion powder. I also added a teaspoon each of smoked paprika, salt and pepper.
Shake well and give it a taste. Add more spices as desired. Mix it up – add your favorites! Sometimes I add oregano and thyme for more of an Italian flare. Sometimes lime and coconut oil for a fresher, lighter flavor.
Quick tip – you can also use wine in place of the water, but be careful and add in slowly as the flavor can take over!!
