
I love knowing exactly what ingredients are in my food so I made my own Tahini! I used black sesame seeds, which I soaked in water (1 cup) for about 2 hours. Drain those well then throw in a blender with 1/2 cup of water. Blend well and add in salt, garlic powder and cumin, just a pinch of each. I also had to add about 2 DROPS of sesame oil just for a bit more nutty flavor.


This nice thick paste will keep in the fridge for about 7 days. I’ll use it to make hummus, and toss with some gluten free pasta later this week!
